TIC TOC THEATRE & ART is a volunteer organization created to provide fine and performing arts experiences to students through our Art Docent Program and Sunday Afternoon Children’s Theatre Series. Established in 1960, we currently have 17 member schools in Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Midland Park, Fairlawn, and Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ.
Art Docent Program Facts
- TIC TOC owns over 30 painting collections and 18 special artifact collections that rotate among our member schools.
- Art Docent volunteers bring this artwork into the classroom to share with the students.
- Docents can have a class discussion about the artwork, do a related craft or activity, or a combination of both. The possibilities are endless!
Children’s Theatre Series Facts
- Our theatre program provides children with affordable, quality, live entertainment in a setting close to home.
- We are proud to sponsor a wide variety of professional programming including drama, comedy, musical theatre, and dance performances.
- Performances are held two to three times per year on Sunday afternoons in Ridgewood, NJ.
Meetings & Events
- Board meetings are held each month during the school year. Attendees include our Executive Board and Representatives from each member school.
- Several coffees and workshops are held each year for our docent volunteers.
